Need a good holiday read for adults and children?
Dicken’s A Christmas Carol has been one of my faves since I read it in 6th grade. The author hooked me with delicious characters and their ability to travel in time. And wasn’t the Ghost of Christmas Past scary! Today, “A Christmas Carol” is available in multiple formats…e-book, audio, interactive pop-up hardback, and even film versions starring Mickey Mouse and Captain Picard (a.k.a. Patrick Stewart). However, this short story is now free in the public domain as a work of classic literature, so you can download a pdf here. For readers who prefer a multi-sensory approach, check out the free VideoBook here. It has synchronized text, interactive transcript, and closed captions in multiple languages, with audio courtesy of Librivox. I have it on good authority that _ Sweet T enjoys listening to her mp3 downloadable audio version as she zips around on her scooter!
