PLEASE NOTE

There aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with blogging, writing newsletters,
publishing, and planning appearances.  Wish I could clone myself!

That's why I'm suspending Cat's Kid Lit Book Reviews for the time being.
I will post here when I'm accepting queries again, so check back from time to time.
All the best and happy tales!
Please review the information below
before contacting me about a book review.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Thanks for reaching out to me!

Creating children’s books is not an easy road, and that's why getting reviews for our books is so important.

I write comprehensive reviews for children’s books if the books are:
·       less than 200 pages in length
·       featured as part of a promotion by a children's book blogger
·       written by active members of the Kid Literature community

Please don’t be discouraged if I don't respond to your query or can't review your book.  There just aren’t enough hours in my day!  I urge you to visit other bloggers and reviewers, so you can build connections and have a greater chance of getting your book in front of them.

And just so you know……
As a former a college writing coach, I'm passionate about the written word.  I know you'll have your book professionally edited before sending anyone your polished tale -:D.

MY REVIEW PROCESS
1.     Query me by email
  • Include a brief description of your book, with its page count, age range, and other pertinent information.
  • Include links to your author website, social media, sell sites, etc., that contain additional information to help me get to know your book with a quick peek.

2.     If I'm able to review your book....
I'll reply to your query and request that you send me:
               *  A digital copy of your book in pdf or epub
               *  A low-resolution .jpg of your book cover
               *  A 3-5 line author bio (You may also send a low-resolution .jpg of
                 your author photo.)

3.       Depending on my workload, it may take up to 8 weeks to complete a review.

4.       In addition to my blog, I post reviews on Amazon, i-Tunes, Goodreads, and Pinterest.

MY RATING SCALE
Very Good:
  • Solid writing and/or illustrations

  • Characters children will relate to and love
  • Unique concepts or strong lessons integrated within the plot
  • Professionally edited to perfection
